This place is neat if for no other reason than you get to see a neat show while you eat. Keep in mind this isn't really Japanese, but kind of a stylized Japanese the people think of when they think of Arigato or somewhere like that. That doesn't make it bad though. The food is good and the prices are good. Good place to take the kids too. Kind of one of those "exotic" without being too exotic places.

I have driven past Nakato's many times and finally stopped in one day and was amazed at how big it is. It's really two restaurants: a japanese hibachi steakhouse on one side and a sushi bar/traditional japanese restaurant on the other side. The sushi side is the side I visited this night. Let me tell you their sushi is incredible! I couldn't beleive how good it was. I got the toro (fatty tuna) and it literally melted in my mouth. I also got the dragon roll and loved that as well. Definately recommend! Next time I'll try the Hibachi side.

After eating at sort-of Americanized sushi restaurants in Atlanta (quite happily) I tried Nakato--and was surprised at how much I enjoyed the simple subtlety of the flavors, the quality of the ingredients, and elegance of presentation. A very pleasant experience for a different kind of sushi.

Who knew! I've lived in ATL for 6 years and now I find great sushi! Authentic all the way down to the beautiful Kimonos the hostesses wore. Great job!
