Home to Margaret Mitchell between 1925 and 1932 when she wrote the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel "Gone With the Wind," the Margaret Mitchell House & Museum documents the life of the famous writer and how her novel became one of the most famous movies in American cinema history. Exhibits include a series of letters written by Mitchell to family around the country, displays on the movie version of "Gone With the Wind" and an apartment area furnished as it would have been during Mitchell's lifetime. The house is located north of downtown Atlanta, five blocks east of the Georgia Institute of Technology and four blocks west of Piedmont Park.
Open daily, 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $12; Seniors 65+ $9; Students $9; Children 4-12 $5; Children under 4 are free.
